Set in Paris in 1789, the tale centers on a gypsy boy named Yann Margoza. Using his talents of mind-reading and being able to throw his voice, Yann works for a magician. On the night of his employer's final performance, he meets Sido, a beautiful heiress.
During the French Revolution, the unlikely pair maintain their bond, even though it means Yann must face an evil man, Count Kalliovski, to secure Sido's safety.
